A brand-new series from one of my favorite new authors, Vampire CEO Part 1 is intoxicating, smexy and reminded me of an adult version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Dark, mysterious vampire? Check. Tortured witch try to make it on her own? Check. Swoon-worthy alpha male? Check. Strong yet conflicted heroine? Double-check.
Vampire CEO moves fast with action, conflict, seduction, family issues and characters I felt an instant connection with. This is singular POV (Abigail) and while I would’ve loved to hear Sebastian’s POV from time to time, I love being inside Abigail’s world. The ending plunged me off a steep cliff but luckily, I’m counting the days until Part 2 arrives in my reader. A must-read and I highly recommend it!
Favorite Quote: “Never fear me, Abigail. I have no wish to harm you.” His words brushed against the side of her neck causing her to jump in her seat slightly. No sooner had she felt him behind her then he was gone. As his office door closed behind him, his next words made her shiver. “Not unless you asked me to.”

I have to admit this is more intriguing than I imagined it would be.
Abigail is a witch with a problem controlling her magic, so much to the extent that she is forced to leave her coven and live as a mortal. So what is her first step? Getting a job of course but who is going to hire a witch with no skills? So yeah, she uses a little magic to help land a job at what she thinks is going to be a mundane secretarial job.
Mundane it is not! First she is hired to be the secretary to the CEO, Sebastian Storm and oh boy, does he take her by storm. This guy is hot and is hiding something behind his office doors. Abigail is nosy and just has to learn the truth. When she does things take a turn for the interesting.
I found myself reading quicker to discover what would happen next and the author leaves us with one great cliffhanger but I don't believe it will be long before part to is revealed. Until then I keep checking my kindle waiting for it to appear on the screen. So, yes, the author did her job my captivating my imagination and presenting me with some characters I can't help be enchanted with.

This is part one of the three part serial series, Vampire CEO by Erin R. Bedford. I’ve never read anything by Ms. Bedford before so I really had no idea what to expect and what a wonderful surprise this was.
Abigail Blanchard was pretty much considered royalty in the witches community since she was the daughter of the revered Bianca Blanchard who is the head priestess of the New Orleans coven. But Abigail has been kicked out of the coven. She let the magic take over her life and she was forced out into the human world. Abigail is doing her best to live as a human and not use her magic. But she needs a job. She just might need to use a little bit of that magic to get hired since she has no marketable skills.
She is hired as a secretary to the CEO of Midnight Pharmaceuticals, Sebastian Storm. It doesn’t take long for her to notice some strange happenings while at work. Strange comings and goings by beautiful women. And then there is the way that he makes all her girly parts tingle whenever he is nearby. But she is determined to be successful. She can’t lose this job. No matter how sexy her new boss is.
Abigail eventually discovers that there is more to her new boss than meets the eye. He is a vampire. Vampires are drawn to witch blood more than any other kind so she has to keep her magic a secret at all costs. She can’t let Sebastian discover what she really is. Since sexual attraction makes it even harder to keep her magic quiet, that task becomes harder and harder.
“You are not the boss of me.”
“On the contrary, Miss Blanchard. I am your boss, and I can tell you to do whatever I please.”
I loved this first installment of this series. Sebastian is most definitely full of secrets I can’t wait to discover. And how could I not love the quirky Abigail. And WOW, what an ending. There is so much more to Abigail’s problem with magic than I realized. There is so much to come for these two and I can’t wait to see what it is. These two have chemistry like crazy and my fingers are crossed that we get to explore that further! The second installment will be released on January 30 and I am so excited to see what happens next.
