This book only costs $1, so I'm not too upset, if it had cost more, I would be pretty dang mad. It was a good plot and storyline, the execution was way off. It read all over the place as if the author wanted to make sure she got every thought she had at the time into the book. Don't think I need to read more in this series.

A Fire That Burns edition by KirstyAnne Still Amy Moore Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This book did not disappoint. I am in love with Tyler. And the potential for this story to continue on into additional books was great. I love a book series!!! The relationship with Austin and Tyler is real. And the personal tragedy kept you guessing until you found out what really happens. And then you just hate one of the characters. HA HA. For a book to cause so much emotional is wonderul. SO GLAD I picked it up!!
Here is a book about the one true love... A book about heart, troubles and everything In between !!! Family bond when one gets taken down they all pull together and help them out!!! A fantastic book... Can't wait for the next one!! <3
I am going to premise this by saying that I have never written a review before. I have had more highs than lows with my kindle ebook purchases but have never felt the need to comment on a book as strongly as I do for A Fire That Burns....
I will start by saying that the plot line for the book has enormous potential.(This is why I gave it 2 rather than 1 star) The characters in the book could be likable if the author let them develop more naturally....BUT...overall, it was incredibly dull and disappointing.....I pretty much gave up half way through but decided to persevere and skim read the last quarter hoping to find at least some thrill and action leading to a dramatic and satisfactory ending. AArghh NO!! It's a "to be continued".....sorry, I'm not going to be investing any more time or energy trying to care about Austin and Tyler's relationship in part 2.

Warning Spoiler alert !!

Here are my main grievances....
* The relationship between Austin and her mother...to have so much hate and vitriol only to flip a switch and be mother of the year in a matter of pages...not buying it!
* The constant rehashing of the miscarriage and breakdown of Tyler and Austin's relationship became so tedious and repetitive that they both came across weak and whiny (in my opinion).I prefer stronger characters and development of plot line
* The fact that Austin was burnt in a fire, had copious amounts of pain numbing drugs, numerous surgeries, fought infections etc....yet we are to believe that she is pregnant with a 'healthy' baby from one quick romp with Tyler.... and the doctors did not know....what?!?
* The sudden and clumsy introduction of the FBI friend characters was so confusing I started to think I missed a chapter or two.....I think that was the point I gave up on the book having any redeeming qualities
I meant to get the sample but bought the book. The reviews were good so I was not that worried. I could not finish this piece of drivel. No character development, stupid plot and overall just poorly written. Who would run away for 6 years over the incident that happened? RIDICULOUS.
Do not waste your money.
The premise of the story was good except it kept on and on about a past event which triggers a long and unwanted separation between the two main characters. I liked the female character, at first, but when the sobbing and self doubt about not deserving to be loved was repeated excessively, it became difficult to not skip ahead several pages just to get past those sections. I had the same thoughts about another reviewer wherein FBI friends were inserted without any explanation towards the end of the book which made you think "where did they come from," and other much more unbelievable scenarios which I won't go into as they are spoilers. The absolute worst thing about this book was the NUMEROUS grammatical errors, mistyped words, missed words, etc. I could get over some of the faults as that is a growing pain of new authors, but the lack of editing was atrocious and easily avoided (hence the reason for the two star rating)! I will read the next book because I'm the type of person who has to have closure, but I really hope the author does some serious proof reading before publishing. It also wouldn't hurt to give Austin a little more confidence so she's not always whining and in doubt about everything no matter how much she has been told by Tyler and her family they love her. I wish the young author luck in the future and hope the constructive feedback is taken as a learning experience for future books as I do think she has promise.
Spoken in the third person, I just couldn't get into this book or the storyline. The cover is what enticed me to buy it, it's disappointing when the characters are weak and uninteresting. I don't like giving poor reviews because of the effort it took for the author to write this. I hope she gains valuable experience and her next book is a hit.
The storyline was excellent the only problem I had was the miss spelled words and words that did not go into a sentence other then that I enjoyed the book
This book only costs $1, so I'm not too upset, if it had cost more, I would be pretty dang mad. It was a good plot and storyline, the execution was way off.
